Tune into this week’s Quick Wins With COM where Richard explains the ways in which business owners can achieve fast, substantial growth within their businesses.

As business owners, we oftentimes become discouraged by our lack of growth and success. We have been putting enormous amounts of time and effort into our work, and yet we aren’t seeing results. How can we kickstart our businesses, so that we can achieve tangible outcomes? My answer is simple; establish a strong and clear vision and decide where you want to take your business.

By focusing on the big picture and creating a macro-vision, you will be able to grow your business significantly. It will help you generate more high-quality leads, as well as attract people who can ultimately help grow your business grow.

Furthermore, you need to find mentors – those who have the experience and expertise to help you as a business owner jump over hurdles. Create a proximity of people that are able to provide you with guidance.

So this week, I challenge you to establish a long-term mission and vision for your business, as well as find a person within your industry who can act as mentor to you and your business.

Welcome back to Quick Win with COM, and I just finished one of our interviews for a show called Industry Change. I interviewed a great guy called Gary Ng, and we really talked about the concept of vision, having a vision in your business and making sure the vision is really strong, make sure that you’re not just thinking a micro-vision, but thinking like a macro-vision. Thinking about how you can actually execute the reason why you’re actually being put on Earth, the reason why you’ve been put here, and can you actually live that, not when you’re like 80 or 90, but can you actually live that today. The other part of the conversation was mentors, which I really, really loved quite a lot, and the power of mentors, and the power of making sure that you can talk to somebody, or some proximity and actually they can figure out where they roadblocks going to be, they can figure out where the problems are going to lie, most importantly.

He goes, “I just want to duplicate the model. I want to move it in the fastest way possible.” So why don’t we go and get mentors? Why don’t we go and get people that know what they’re doing and actually duplicate, and ask for their advice. Making sure when you’ve got the advice, actual do it, do the work, get it done, move on to the next. Don’t grow your business by 5 or 10%. How do you grow your business by 500 to 1,000%? To do that it’s not going to be, hey I’ve got to make three calls, or four calls, or marketing, it’s going to be about changing your entire vision. Changing your entire mission. Getting people onboard that are connected to your vision and mission, way more closely than trying to make a micro-sale that’s going to not really fulfil you deep, deep down. Not really fulfil the mission of why you went into the business in the first place for.

So as a recap what we were talking about is a couple of scenarios here. It’s one, understanding your vision, your mission, and where you’re wanting to go, and getting that really clear. Number two, the faster way to get there would be using mentors, and reading books is okay, but it’s actually getting a person that’s already been in your situation to guide you through the roadblocks and the barriers that you’re going to come across in business, ’cause you will come across them. If you can do those two well, that’s the fastest way for growth. I think the last point there is understanding that if we can take and be clear on our vision, be clear on our mission, it means that we’re going to attract the better clients, the better staff, the better solutions and services, and the right people that can actually grow that vision as well.

So don’t be scared on how I’m going to do it, focus on the vision and the how will naturally come, once you’ve got that down Pat. I’m Richard Toutounji. I’ll see you next time, on Quick Win with COM.
